This license outlines the conditions for using the RPG Maker MV plugins on RPG Maker Times for inclusion in commercial projects.
This applies to all plugins in the site’s RMMV Plugins section.
If you’re unclear as to which license to use, consider the following:
- If you’re using the plugins in a free or freely distributed game, then the Non-Commercial Use License applies.
- If you’re using the plugins in games that can be purchased or from which you are (or intending on) making money, the Commercial Use License applies.
By using the plugins in your projects, you agree to the terms of this license for use in your projects.
All plugins are free to use in commercial projects under the Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-ND 4.0).
This means that the plugins may be used in commercial projects, provided that full credit (Section 4) is given and you have donated towards a license for use in commercial projects.
In projects submitted to competitions where a monetary prize is awarded, the Commercial Use License only applies upon winning. Subsequently, if the project remains playable and/or downloadable for free (as part of the competition or separately an no monetary prize is collected) then no license is required.
3. LICENSE FEES
A donation fee is required to grant a non-exclusive license for RMMV plugins to be used in commercial projects.
3.1 General License
This license grants the use of the plugin in a single commercial game. To use it in subsequent projects intended for commercial purposes, another donation will need to be submitted (Section 3.2 Fees).
This license does not permit redistribution of the plugins, except in the projects for which they will be used.
Modifications or adaptations of the plugins are allowed, however, for compatibility with other plugins and/or the project itself, and not for any other purposes.
The minimum donation depends on which plugin is used, but anything above the amount will be greatly appreciated. Donations will be reinvested into the site to cover additional server costs and site upgrades, as well as future prize funds.
Credit to either "Companion Wulf" or "RPG Maker Times" is required. This must be placed on the project’s web site and/or included documentation accompanying the project.
Optionally, credits can be placed somewhere in the project, notably the end credits.
